Where tradition
meets innovation
Camera-based solution for happy cows and worry-free farmers
Thanks. We have received your request and will get back to you shortly.
What is KuhTracking? (eng.: cow tracking)
KuhTracking is a pioneering project that brings together state-of-the-art technology and traditional agriculture. Funded by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) , we are developing a purely camera-based, artificial intelligence (AI)-supported tool for monitoring animal health.
Our goal: health monitoring of cows made easy. The system keeps an eye on the animals 24/7. In the case of critical events, you automatically receive a notification on your smartphone so that you can act in a timely fashion. This allows you to focus on other activities while our system monitors the health and well-being of your cows around the clock. Solely camera-based, no hardware on the animal.
How do I benefit from KuhTracking?
no worries about your herd
Incidents in the cowshed are automatically detected and reported (fire, illness, unrest in the herd, etc.)
no hardware on the animal
Cost-effective and easy-to-use solution without hardware on the animal
more flexibility
From the cowshed directly to your smartphone: the most important information at a glance (health status, whereabouts, etc.)
easy installation
Low initial costs, we take care of the hardware installation for you
behaviour analysis
Recognition of critical behavior such as heat or calving
health monitoring
Automated herd monitoring and alerting if necessary
cost efficiency
Early detection of diseases and an associated reduction in veterinary costs
convenience
Comprehensive dashboard and convenient alerting via smartphone

How it works...
Step 1/4
Cameras in the cowshed collect biometric data
Cameras which are installed in the cowshed keep an eye on the animals at all times. Our intelligent algorithms are used to identify and locate individual cows. Relevant movement and health data is collected in the background.
Step 2/4
Central computer in the cowshed
The image data from the individual cameras is securely processed on the central computer in the cowshed and stored for 24 hours, giving you an insight into all the important events of the previous day.
Step 3/4
Automatic streaming to the cloud
On demand, the live image data is sent securely to the cloud via a 5G modem, processed and then sent to the user's smartphone.
Step 4/4
Push-notifications on your smartphone
Users can keep an eye on their herd around the clock via a live stream on their smartphone. Important event alerts such as heat behavior, calving, ketosis or lameness are delivered directly to the smartphone via push notification so that action can be taken quickly if necessary.
